What the Service Covers

GridLogic IT manages the Microsoft 365 work small businesses rely on every day: identity, email, files, devices, security settings, licensing, tenant cleanup, migrations, and user support.

Active Directory to Entra ID

User accounts, groups, and permissions are cleaned up and managed in Microsoft Entra ID. Entra Connect synchronizes identities so users keep their credentials. MFA and Conditional Access are authored and applied on day one.

Email to Exchange Online

Every mailbox (emails, contacts, calendars, rules) is migrated to Exchange Online on a staged plan. The cutover runs in the background, DNS is coordinated for zero mail loss, and most users do not notice the transition.

File Shares to SharePoint & OneDrive

On-premises file servers and network shares are redesigned for SharePoint Online and OneDrive for Business. Folder structures, permissions, and version history are preserved. Server maintenance obligations retire with the old infrastructure.

Devices to Intune

Windows and macOS endpoints are enrolled in Microsoft Intune. Security baselines, app deployment rings, and compliance policies are authored and applied. Autopilot is configured so new hires receive a fully governed device out of the box.

Cybersecurity & Monitoring - Defender & Conditional Access

Security management is engineered into the service, not appended to it. MFA enforcement, Conditional Access policy authoring, Defender deployment, and Purview DLP configuration are all complete before documentation.

Legacy Apps - Planning & Alternatives

On-premises applications that depend on Active Directory are reviewed for cloud compatibility. GridLogic documents migration paths, recommended replacements, and hybrid connectivity options where they are warranted.

The Phases

A repeatable managed IT onboarding process for stabilizing Microsoft 365, moving the right workloads, and handing users a clear support path.

01

Discovery & Planning

The service opens with structured discovery: users, devices, email, files, applications, and security posture are inventoried. GridLogic documents the support plan, timeline, dependencies, and rollback path before changes start.

02

Identity Configuration

Users are migrated to Entra ID via Entra Connect synchronization. Existing credentials are preserved. MFA and Conditional Access policies are authored and enforced before any data moves.

03

Data & Email Implementation

Mailboxes move to Exchange Online and files are organized into SharePoint and OneDrive. The cutover plan runs in the background so the team continues working throughout the service.

04

Endpoint Enrollment & Security Hardening

Windows and macOS endpoints are enrolled in Intune. Defender is deployed and tuned. Security baselines, compliance policies, and Purview DLP rules are authored, tested, and activated.

05

Governance & Knowledge Transfer

The closing phase covers a written runbook, a governance framework, and a knowledge-transfer session with your internal team. Legacy on-premises infrastructure is decommissioned and the configuration is handed over in full.

On-Prem vs. Cloud

The math is straightforward. Managed Microsoft 365 can reduce entire categories of infrastructure cost, and the gap widens every year on-premises systems age.
